Every month we get requests from kitty parents who are in need of long-term accommodation for their cat but are not sure where to begin. In response, we have developed a host home program that matches loving homes, with no other pets, to cats in need of a temporary home away from home. Whether you are travelling extensively, moving internationally, renovating your own home or just in between homes, have peace of mind knowing your kitty is curled up in a warm and snuggly lap while you take care of business!

• Meet the host family and visit the home prior to finalizing your kitty's reservation
• Host homes maintain consistency for your kitty by following the feeding, medication and grooming routine you have at home
• Your kitty will be a loved member of the family, sleeping on beds and lounging in laps as much as he or she likes
• Host homes will email you pictures and updates about your kitty's adventure
• Nightly rates are 40 - 50% off our regular boarding rates, depending on the length of the reservation, the number of kitties in your family and whether any medications must be administered

Important That You Know...

• Minimum reservation of 21 nights



• The cost of food is not included in the nightly in-home boarding rate



• Cats with outdoor access must show proof of rabies vaccination within the previous 3 years but at least 14 days prior to their stay in a host home

• Please provide the dates your kitty needs a host home, the number of kitties in your family and whether any of your kitties need medications or have other special needs



• Finding the right host home may take us time - please provide as much advance notice as possible

Who Are The Hosts?

Each of our host homes is different - they may be an individual, couple or family and they live in every size of dwelling, from bachelor suites to spacious homes. Our host parents are dedicated cat lovers who have chosen not to adopt their own cat for various reasons, such as future travel plans or financial considerations. Others are our former clients whose own kitties have passed away and they miss the companionship of a cat. Homes are so empty without them!
